AJN #3 Newspaper Released on 4th of July!
Please Donate Today to Help Pay For Printing!
We released the third issue of our paper just in time for the 4th of July, and we hope that you have enjoyed it!
We are now asking you for a donation to help pay for these newspapers that we give out for free! Because of generous donations following issue #2, we were able to print an extra 4 pages to spotlight the struggles of others who are unjustly imprisoned. SPECIAL THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED!
For issue #2, we spent $625 to print 10,000 issues. The third issue cost $880 for 10,000 issues. We have already raised $780 for this. Now we need money for distro postage and to begin raising funds for the fourth issue, which will be published this Fall.
We need these donations as soon as possible, so if you are able to help, please do so today!
The International Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal (ICFFMAJ) is strongly supporting this fundraising and Pam Africa (ICFFMAJ Coordinator) is personally making a special request urging supporters to help pay by donating whatever they can.
All labor is strictly volunteer, so all donations go directly towards printing costs and some postage expenses for sending the papers around the country.
Please make the check payable to: "National Black United Fund—MAJ account" and in the "memo" section of the check please write "Abu-Jamal-News." The check should then be mailed to:
ICFFMAJ, po box 19709, Philadelphia, PA 19143
---Please take a look at our new paper (VIEW PDF of ISSUE #3 and ISSUE #2). Do you agree that this some of the best independent journalism today? We are tackling a very important and controversial issue, providing rock-solid analysis exposing the injustice of the 1982 trial, police frame-up, the recent Third Circuit ruling, and translating the "legalese" of the case into language for the rest of us. If you are impressed by the newspaper, and also our website (Abu-Jamal-News.com) please help out, so that we can continue our work opposing the mainstream media's well-documented bias against Mumia.
Photos on this page are from the 4th of July protest in Philadelphia, where over 5,000 issues of our paper were handed out and taken home by the many supporters that came out for the day. The top photo of Sundiata Sadiq (whose article is featured on the front cover) is by Hans Bennett, but the other photos of supporters carrying bundles of our paper, are by Joe Piette, Workers World.
